The DJI Phantom 4 Pro is an incredible drone and makes flying a walk in the park.
There are some basic flight manoeuvres that will set you in good stead when it comes to flying the DJI Phantom 4 Pro. This includes things such as yaw, tilt and pan.
After mastering these first steps using the Remote Controller you can move onto intermediate then professional flight manoeuvres.
But before we try out professional manoeuvres let's test our basic DJI Phantom 4 Pro skills with this fast Heliguy™ tutorial.
- Choose Your Remote Controller
Normal DJI Phantom 4 Remote Controller.

- Take-Off
To take-off push both sticks to the button corners towards the centre of the Remote Controller.
- Left Stick Controls
The left stick controls altitude and yaw.
Push the stick left to rotate left.
Push the stick right to rotate to the right.
Push the stick upwards to increase altitude.
Push stick downwards to decrease altitude.
- Right Stick Controls
The right stick controls pitch and roll.
To fly forwards push the stick up.
To fly backwards push the stick downwards.
To turn left push the stick left.
To turn right push the stick to the right.
- Landing
To land push the left stick downwards. Ensure you are landing in a safe area free from obstacles or persons.
Now you've learned to basics you can cultivate your skills by practising flight manoeuvres.
