One of the biggest questions heliguy™ are receiving since DJI released the DJI Phantom 3 is 'What is the difference between the DJI Phantom 3 Professional and DJI Phantom 3 Advanced?'. Here we look at the camera options and the battery charger.
4K Camera on Phantom 3 Professional

More specifically though the Phantom 3 Professional can shoot "Cinema" 4K, which is 4096x2160p, at 24 and 25 fps or "Consumer" 4k, which is 3840x2160, and goes from 24 and 25 fps up to 30 fps.
UK 4K TV standards are 25 fps whilst US 4K TV standards are 30 fps.

The Phantom 3 Advanced comes with a 57-watt charging unit meaning longer charging times.
And that is it.
You can now choose what spec is right for you. Do you, or your clients, demand cinema quality at 24 fps? Choose Professional. Do you need 4K at 30 fps for US TV? Choose Professional. Do you require footage for UK TV at 25 fps? Choose Advanced. ITV do not even except 4K. Want to future proof your investment? Choose Professional.
4K or Not 4K

Shorter Charging Times
The second difference is the DJI Intelligent Flight Battery charger. The DJI Phantom 3 Professional comes with a 100-charger that means shorter charging times for the new 4480 mAh 4S lipo battery used in the new Phantom 3. Both the Professional and Advanced are capable of 720p downlink video to your tablet or mobile device, with visual and ultrasonic sensors both systems can also fly indoors.
Are you a Photographer? No Problem.
Both cameras however are able of snapping 12-megapixel stills, which is the industry standard of Photography, and have F2.8 lens with Field of View (FOV) at 94 degree's. The sensor in both camera is the Sony EXMOR 1/2.3" which is more light sensitive than previous cameras used on the Phantom 2 range.Further recommendations:
