DJI Announce Geofencing Flexibility for Enterprise Pilots
Today, DJI have announced a huge improvement to their geofencing system for authorised enterprise drone pilots. A new and efficient process is available to select pilots who have the authorisation to fly in sensitive areas, in which geofencing unlock codes will be available within 30 minutes thanks to DJI’s staff who will be working around the clock.
This development is ideal for the high demands of enterprise users that are often subject to time constraints.

What is Geofencing?
DJI use a combination of GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigational tools to prevent their drones flying close to a sensitive site. These sites include locations such as airports, prisons, power stations and other areas in which drones may cause issues. Geofencing, which may also be referred to as a no-fly zone, simply blocks your drone from taking off or from flying into a designated area. You will also be given warnings when flying close to one of these no-fly zones, making it clear that you're approaching sensitive airspace.

Geofencing Unlock Process
To unlock a Geofenced area, users can head to the DJI Fly Safe portal when logged into their DJI account. They’re then able to enter basic information on themselves, drone and remote controllers along with supporting documents which will be considered by the DJI team. DJI will then attempt to respond within 30 minutes of the request, faster than ever before. Enterprise users can also include multiple drones at one time, adding to flexibility and freedom to the system.
